Quote you try to live by: “There are two kinds of people in this world, givers and takers. Which one do you want to be?”
Mrs. Knouse’s Spanish class is a “carnival” of culture and language with her students not just learning Spanish, but experiencing it. From creating Día de Muertos masks and caroling in Spanish at Christmas to “visiting” Spanish speaking countries to have their “passports” stamped and preparing for the LCHS placement exam, Mrs. Knouse enjoys watching her student’s look of surprise and satisfaction when he or she does something well or gets a concept for the first time. In her free time, Mrs. Knouse enjoys shopping, reading, going for long walks and spending time with her family and her dog, Harley. The best advice Mrs. Knouse ever received was when life hands you a lemon, learn to make lemonade. Or, limonada!
This year, Mrs. Knouse will also be returning as our Music teacher. We are excited to see her plans for the Christmas program, talent show and school choir. And, if her Spanish class is a carnival, her Music classes are sure to be a Musical!!
