Interested in Joining our Family?
If you are interested in learning more about SJNCS and determining if we might be the right fit for your family, our "Tours on Tuesday" begin next month. These tours, held at 9am on the second Tuesday of the month, last about 45 minutes and include a tour of the school, information about the Application Process and a discussion with our principal, Karen Henry. It's a great way to see the school alive with students and activity! Interested parents can register here.

Admissions ProcessThe Admissions Process consists of 4 steps:
Step 1
Schedule a Tour. All families interested in applying for admission to St. John Neumann School are encouraged to schedule a visit or tour with Ms. Henry in order to talk about the individual needs of their child while learning more about the St. John Neumann Catholic School community.
Step 2
Application for Admission.
Those interested in Admission for the 2024-2025 School Year can complete the above Application for Admission and upload the student's most recent report card. Electronic files can be sent to [email protected]
The Application Process for the 2025-2026 School Year will not open until January, 2025.
Step 3
You will be contacted by the school after your application has been reviewed.
Step 4
Acceptance Letters are mailed to approved applicants.

Pre-Kindergarten Applicants
The program follows a developmentally appropriate curriculum designed by the Diocese of Harrisburg. The students develop spiritually, physically, socially and academically. Students entering our PreK program must be 4 years old as of September 1st of the academic year for which they are applying. Any child seeking admission to PK must be completely toilet trained.
Families are able to choose from three class options:
5 full days per week
5 half days per week
3 full days and 2 half days per week

Kindergarten Applicants
Students entering our Kindergarten program must be 5 years old as of September 1st of the applied for academic year.
In addition to the requirements for students in all grades, a Kindergarent applicant will participate in a screening at the beginning of the year. This screening provides vital information for the teacher about the areas of strength and areas for growth for each student.

1st - 8th Grade Applicants
A shadow day is highly recommended for students after the initial parent meeting. This visit allows students to get a first-hand experience of our school community, while allowing the teachers to get a better sense of each student's unique strengths and interests.

Affording St. John Neumann Catholic School
Tuition v. Max Parental Contribution
SJNCS has moved to a Cost to Educate Model to determine a parent's financial responsibility for their child's education. Instead of beginning with a "tuition" number, this model begins with the actual Cost to Educate a student with all applicable discounts applied to this amount. The final result is the parent's financial responsibility.
Affordable discounts include the Participation Discount, Catholic Discount, Multi-Student Discount & Financial Aid.
As an example:2024-2025 Cost to Educate $8,000 Participation Deduction* $2,000 Catholic Discount $1,000 Multi-Student Discount As Applicable Financial Aid Determined by Financial Assessment *To be eligible to receive the Participation Deduction, parents must:
1) Complete the Simple Tuition Solutions Assessment here.
This assessment also provides access to all financial aid sources.
(Neumann, EITC, OSTC, Guardian Angel, EITC/SPE)
And/Or
2) Participate in the EITC/SPE Program
The EITC/SPE Program allows you to direct your state income taxes to the school and receive a 90% tax credit. More information about this program will be provided to families after acceptance.
